Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Electrician to join our Commercial division at Helix Electric in Denver, CO. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing electrical installations and maintenance for a variety of commercial projects including office buildings, retail centers, hospitals, and schools. Our Commercial Electricians play a crucial role in ensuring that all electrical systems are installed and maintained to the highest industry standards, while also adhering to safety regulations and project timelines.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electrical installations and maintenance for commercial projects, including running conduit, pulling wire, installing devices, and troubleshooting electrical systems.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate and efficient project execution.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure successful project completion.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of electrical systems and components to ensure functionality and safety.
- Utilize advanced meters (Fluke 87V) and thermal imaging cameras for diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical issues.
- Operate power tools (Milwaukee, DeWalt) and other equipment with precision and safety.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including OSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR certifications.
Certifications and Experience
- OSHA 30 Certification
- First Aid/CPR Certification
- 3-5 years of electrical experience, preferably in commercial settings
- Valid electrical license for the state of Colorado
- Proficiency in using advanced meters (Fluke 87V) and thermal imaging cameras
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures and regulations
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in various environments, including heights, confined spaces, and outdoor settings
- Capacity to stand, kneel, and crouch for extended periods
Preferred Experience
- Experience with power tools (Milwaukee, DeWalt)
- Previous commercial project experience, particularly in office buildings, retail centers, hospitals, or schools
Location & Schedule
- Primary location: Denver, CO
- Neighboring cities include Aurora, Lakewood, Thornton, Arvada, and Westminster
- Schedule: Full-time, with potential for overtime depending on project needs
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive pay range: $33.8-$37.32 per hour, depending on experience
