Overview of Commercial Cable Technician Role

As a Commercial Cable Technician at Helix Electric in Winston-Salem, NC, you will play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of cable systems for commercial projects. You will work within a dynamic environment, collaborating with a team of skilled professionals to ensure the seamless integration of electrical systems in various commercial settings.

Essential Functions

• Key Responsibilities: Install, terminate, and test cables for commercial projects. Troubleshoot and repair cable issues. Maintain accurate records and documentation of work performed. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and quality standards.
• Required Certifications: BICSI (Building Industry Consulting Service International), Basic Electrical Safety.
• Experience With: BICSI standards, OSHA 10 certification, First Aid/CPR.
• Typical Projects: Involvement in projects such as office buildings, retail centers, hospitals, and schools, requiring a high level of technical knowledge and expertise.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 3-5 years of electrical experience in a commercial setting.
• License: Valid electrical license for North Carolina.
• Certifications: Experience with BICSI standards and OSHA 10 certification.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
• Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical safety protocols and practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• First Aid/CPR: Experience and certification in First Aid/CPR.

• Neighboring Cities: Kernersville, Clemmons, High Point, and Greensboro.
• Schedule: Full-time, with a commitment to providing reliable and efficient service to meet project deadlines.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: $23.68-$27.13 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
