Position Overview at HCI Systems

The Security Technician at HCI Systems is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing security systems in educational institutions across Manhattan Beach, CA, and the surrounding areas. This role involves working closely with project managers and school administrators to ensure that security systems are effectively integrated and maintained to the highest standards of safety and reliability.

Requirements for Security Technician

• Key Responsibilities for Security Technician at HCI Systems

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot security systems including access control, video surveillance, and alarm systems.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of security systems.
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.

• Low Voltage Cabling Installation for Security Technician

  • Install and terminate low voltage cabling for security systems.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Test and troubleshoot cabling infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.

• Tool Proficiency for Daily Tasks for Security Technician

  • Proficient in using hand tools and power tools for installation and maintenance tasks.
  • Familiarity with testing equipment and software for diagnosing system issues.

• Daily Tasks

  • Coordinate with project managers to align on project timelines and objectives.
  • Document system configurations and service activities.
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users as needed.

• Project Involvement

  • Participate in project planning and design for security solutions in educational settings.
  • Assist in the development of system layouts and equipment specifications.

Qualifications for Security Technician at HCI Systems

• 2-4 years of experience in security systems installation and maintenance.
• Required Certification: Security+ Certification.
• Experience with Access Control Systems and Network Security Tools.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and work in various physical environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional Certification: ASIS PSP Certification.
• Experience with CCTV Systems and their integration into larger security solutions.

Location & Schedule

• Primary Location: Manhattan Beach, CA.
• Additional Locations: Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, El Segundo, Torrance, and Hawthorne.
• Schedule: Full-time position with standard working hours and occasional on-call duty as required.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: $31.27-$38.2 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
