Job Title: Solar Panel Installer Company: Greenskies Solar Location: Lancaster, CA

Job Description: Greenskies Solar is seeking experienced and entry-level Solar Panel Installers to join our dynamic team in Lancaster, CA. The role primarily involves the installation of photovoltaic (PV) systems in new construction projects and solar farms across Lancaster and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities:

1. Read, interpret, and execute drawings, schematics, blueprints, and electrical diagrams to determine the layout of solar power equipment.
2. Install, inspect, maintain, and repair solar panel systems, including the solar collectors, concentrators, batteries, pumps, fans, or support structure.
3. Identify electrical, environmental, and safety hazards associated with photovoltaic (PV) installations.
4. Perform routine photovoltaic (PV) system maintenance on modules, arrays, batteries, power conditioning equipment, safety systems, structural systems, weather sealing, or balance of systems equipment.
5. Apply weather sealing to array, building, or system components.
6. Activate photovoltaic (PV) systems to verify system functionality and conformity to performance expectations.
7. Check electrical installation for proper wiring, polarity, grounding, or isolation of equipment.
8. Determine appropriate sizes, ratings, and locations for all system overcurrent devices, disconnect devices, grounding equipment, and surge suppression equipment.
9. Demonstrate system functionality and explain system operation to customers.

Requirements:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Prior experience as a solar panel installer is preferred but not mandatory.
3. NABCEP certification is a plus.
4. Familiarity with hand-held and power tools.
5. Knowledge of safety protocols, first aid, and CPR.
6. Ability to work in various weather conditions and on roofs and ladders.
7. Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
8. Ability to lift heavy equipment and work at significant heights.

Safety Requirements:

All Solar Panel Installers are expected to strictly adhere to safety procedures and protocols at all times. This includes wearing mandated personal protective equipment and following guidelines for working at heights, manual handling, and use of power tools.
