Job Description:

Prime Partners is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team in Lancaster, CA. This position will also cover work in neighboring cities including Palmdale, Rosamond, Quartz Hill, and Mojave. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of electrical systems and be capable of working independently on a range of residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
2. Read technical diagrams and blueprints.
3. Perform general electrical maintenance.
4. Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.
5. Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
6. Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.
7. Follow National Electrical Code state and local building regulations.
8. Circuit breaker corrective maintenance.
9. Good knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems.
10. Good knowledge of various test equipment.

Qualifications:

1. Completion of electrician apprenticeship.
2. Experience working as a journeyman electrician.
3. Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems.
4. Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints.
5. Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines.
6. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
7. Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight.
8. Diploma in relevant vocational training or successfully completed apprenticeship as an electrician.

Requirements:

1. Valid license to practice the profession.
2. Must have a valid driver’s license.
3. Ability to lift, push, pull, and move up to 50 lbs.
4. Ability to work in a variety of physical conditions, such as confined spaces, heights, and outdoor environments.
5. Must pass a background check and drug screening.
