Fire Alarm Technician at Granite State Electric

We are looking for a skilled Fire Alarm Technician to join our team at Granite State Electric in Kansas City, MO. This role requires expert knowledge in fire alarm system installation, programming, and testing. The technician will be expected to work with systems such as Notifier, Simplex, and Edwards. The ideal candidate will have a NICET Level II certification, a low voltage license, and OSHA-30. In addition, they should be well-versed with NFPA 72, inspection procedures, and documentation.

Required Experience

• 3-5 years of experience as a Fire Alarm Technician
• Proficiency in systems like Notifier, Simplex, and Edwards
• Certification: NICET Level II
• Low voltage license
• OSHA-30
• Familiarity with NFPA 72
• Knowledge of inspection procedures and documentation

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a similar role in cities neighboring Kansas City like Independence, Lee’s Summit, Shawnee, and Overland Park will be a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical diagrams
• Experience with installation and testing of fire alarm systems in commercial facilities

Salary and Benefits
