Commercial Electrician Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Electrician to join our team in Durham, NC. In this role, you will be responsible for executing electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs on various commercial projects. You will work closely with project managers and other team members to ensure that all electrical systems are installed and functioning according to the project specifications and safety standards.

Requirements for Commercial Electrician

• Key Responsibilities for Commercial Projects

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components in commercial settings.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
  • Ensure compliance with local and national electrical codes.
  • Collaborate with contractors, architects, and other stakeholders to achieve project goals.

• Required Certifications

  • Confined Space Certification
  • Lift Certification

• Experience and Skills

  • 3-5 years of electrical experience in commercial environments.
  • Valid electrical license for North Carolina.
  • Experience with First Aid/CPR and Arc Flash Training.
  • Familiarity with Advanced Meters (such as Fluke 87V).
  • Proven experience in handling typical projects like office buildings, retail centers, hospitals, and schools.

• Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in confined spaces.
  • Capability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions.

• Safety Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of electrical safety protocols and procedures.

Preferred Experience

• Demonstrated experience with Advanced Meters (Fluke 87V).
• Extensive experience in commercial project settings.

• Primary Location: Durham, NC
• Neighboring Cities: Chapel Hill, Raleigh, Cary, Morrisville, and Hillsborough.
• Schedule: Full-time, with potential for overtime based on project needs.

• Pay Range: $34.49-$38.62 per hour, depending on experience.
