Position Overview

The Plant Apprentice Electrician at MMR Group in Durham, NC, is an entry-level position designed for individuals eager to start a career in the electrical field. This role involves working under the guidance of experienced electricians to learn and perform electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance within a plant setting. The apprentice will gain valuable hands-on experience and training, contributing to the successful completion of various projects.

Essential Functions

• Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and components.
• Support experienced electricians in troubleshooting electrical issues and implementing effective solutions.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks on electrical equipment.
• Follow blueprints and technical diagrams to ensure accurate installations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
• Participate in project planning meetings and contribute to team discussions.
• Document work performed and report progress to supervisors.

Required Qualifications

• 0-2 years of electrical experience.
• Valid electrical license for NC.
• Completion of required certifications and safety training.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working in confined spaces.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional certifications in specialized electrical areas.

Location & Schedule
