As an entry-level apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience in commercial electrical installation, including power distribution, lighting systems, and life safety systems. This role is ideal for those eager to develop their skills and advance in the electrical trade. You must be enrolled in or eligible for a state-approved apprenticeship program and be ready to tackle various physical demands and technical challenges. Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation of commercial electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting controls, and fire alarm systems.
• Learn conduit bending and installation techniques for EMT and rigid conduit.
• Help with wire pulling and termination in electrical rooms, and support panel installation and circuit identification.
• Assist with lighting fixture installation and controls programming, and learn building automation system basics.
• Help with emergency lighting installation and testing, and maintain material inventory and job site organization.
• Document daily work progress, operate aerial lifts and scaffolding under supervision, and assist with blueprint reading and layout.
• Contribute to projects in the Dallas area by understanding local building codes and regulations.
• Engage with regional suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Support energy-efficient initiatives specific to the Texas climate.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED with strong math skills.
• Enrolled in a state-approved electrical apprenticeship program.
• Basic understanding of electrical theory and ability to read basic blueprints and construction drawings.
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools, and a valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and possess good communication skills for job site coordination.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and willingness to attend required training classes.
• 0-3 years of experience required for apprentice work in a commercial setting.
• Familiarity with local electrical codes and regulations in Dallas.
• Ability to work effectively in the Texas heat and adapt to varying weather conditions.
