Overview of CCTV Security Alarm Project Manager Role
As a CCTV Security Alarm Project Manager at Convergint, you will be at the forefront of managing and executing security-focused projects. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our CCTV and alarm systems are designed, installed, and maintained to the highest standards. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and a keen understanding of security needs across various environments.
Essential Functions
- Project Leadership: Lead and oversee security projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Design and Implementation: Collaborate with clients and internal teams to design tailored CCTV and alarm systems. Utilize design software to create system layouts and specifications.
- Team Coordination: Manage project teams, providing guidance and ensuring alignment with project goals. Facilitate communication between stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Budget Management: Develop, monitor, and control project budgets. Utilize estimating tools to forecast project costs and ensure financial efficiency.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all projects comply with local regulations and safety standards. Promote a culture of safety within project teams and conduct regular safety audits.
- Technical Expertise: Leverage project management software to track progress, manage resources, and report on project outcomes.

Required Qualifications
- Electrical Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical systems, specifically in security alarm and CCTV installations.
- Licensing: Possession of a valid electrical license for the state of California.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with design software (such as AutoCAD or Revit) and project management software (such as MS Project or Primavera).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform tasks requiring physical strength, such as lifting equipment, working at heights, and navigating construction sites.
- Safety Knowledge: Thorough understanding of safety protocols and regulations related to security system installations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Estimating Tools Experience: Familiarity with tools and methodologies for estimating project costs and resources.
- Security Project Experience: Previous experience managing security projects, particularly in corporate, government, or healthcare settings.
Location & Schedule
- Primary Location: Oakland, CA
- Neighboring Cities: This role will primarily be based in Oakland, with potential travel to neighboring cities such as Berkeley, Alameda, San Leandro, and Emeryville.
- Schedule: Full-time position, with standard business hours and occasional requirements for evening or weekend work to meet project deadlines.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: Competitive hourly rate of $40.19-$47.25, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
