Job Title: Commercial Journeyman Electrician Location: Pasadena, CA

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and reliable Commercial Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment within commercial settings. The successful applicant will be committed to safety procedures and have a deep understanding of California’s electrical codes.

Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain, modify, and repair all electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment.
2. Test and troubleshoot various electrical systems safely, including transformers, wiring, and circuits.
3. Inspect and evaluate electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards and determine the need for adjustments or repair.
4. Remain in compliance with current National Electric Code.
5. Direct and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
6. Ensure safety protocols and procedures are strictly followed and promote a culture of safety within the team.
7. Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units.
8. Prepare and submit job reports and paperwork accurately and on time.
9. Coordinate with project manager and team members effectively.

Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Valid California Journeyman Electrician License.
3. Minimum of 4 years of commercial electrical experience.
4. Proficient knowledge of the current National Electrical Code and local codes.
5. Ability to read and understand complex electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
6. Working knowledge of job site safety, and ability to comply with all company safety policies and OSHA and CAL/OSHA regulations.
7. Must possess and use own basic hand and power tools.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy and quality.
9. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
10. Strong verbal communication skills.
11. Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel to different job sites.

Requirements:

1. Must be able to work overtime and weekends as required.
2. Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
3. Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, crawl, and climb for extended periods.
4. Must be able to work in various weather conditions and on various terrains.
5. Must pass a drug test, background check, and have a clean driving record.
6. Must maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times.
