About the Role:

We are in search of a skilled Fire Alarm Technician for our Pasadena, CA location. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and troubleshooting various types of fire alarm systems. They will work closely with our team of professionals in the electrical industry to ensure the safety of our clients through our fire prevention systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, service, and troubleshoot fire alarm systems in compliance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standards.
2. Test and inspect systems under maintenance contracts.
3. Respond to emergency service calls.
4. Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, and inspection checklists.
5. Maintain customer relations by listening to and resolving their service issues.
6. Conduct regular inspections to identify any irregularities or damages in the fire alarm systems.
7. Follow all company and safety policies and procedures.
8. Attend training and educational workshops for professional development.
9. Collaborate and coordinate with other members of the electrician team.

Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent. An Associate’s Degree in a related field is preferred.
2. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
3. 3-5 years of experience installing and servicing fire alarm systems.
4. NICET Level II Certification in Fire Alarm Systems is a plus.
5. Knowledge of NFPA codes and standards.
6. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
7. Proficient in reading and understanding complex blueprints and fire alarm circuitry.
8. Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex systems in simple terms.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

1. Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
2. Must be comfortable working in tight spaces and at heights.
3. Must have manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
