Job Title: Commercial Journeyman Electrician Location: Los Angeles, CA

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and licensed Commercial Journeyman Electrician to join our team. As a commercial journeyman electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial buildings. This role requires knowledge of industry regulations and safety standards, as well as the ability to interpret electrical blueprints and technical diagrams.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
2. Read technical diagrams and blueprints.
3. Perform general electrical maintenance.
4. Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.
5. Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
6. Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.
7. Follow National Electrical Code state and local building regulations.
8. Circuit breaker corrective maintenance.
9. Perform business management duties such as maintaining records and files, preparing reports, and ordering supplies and equipment.
10. Direct and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring or equipment.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a Commercial Journeyman Electrician.
2. Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g., wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints.
3. Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines.
4. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
5. Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight.
6. Diploma in relevant vocational training or successfully completed apprenticeship as an electrician.
7. Valid journeyman electrician license in California.
8. Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
9. Ability to lift and carry tools and equipment of up to 50 pounds in weight.
10. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
11. Ability to work independently or as a team.
12. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
13. Good driving record and a valid driver’s license.
