Service Electrician at Arc Electric

Arc Electric is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Service Electrician to join our team in Flagstaff, AZ. Nestled in the beautiful landscape of Northern Arizona, Flagstaff is surrounded by neighboring cities like Sedona, Williams, and Prescott. Our ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in critical facilities and power quality, with a proven track record in diagnostics and building automation integration. This role demands a proactive individual who can manage complex electrical issues and develop comprehensive maintenance programs for critical facilities, including data centers and healthcare establishments. As a representative of Arc Electric, you will cover a territory that focuses on these critical facilities, requiring occasional emergency response for essential systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced electrical system diagnostics using power quality analyzers, thermal imaging, and oscilloscopes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve building automation system integration issues.
• Design and implement power factor correction solutions.
• Diagnose and repair complex lighting control systems.
• Manage testing and maintenance of emergency power systems to ensure reliability.
• Develop and execute maintenance programs tailored for critical facilities.
• Provide detailed repair documentation and offer actionable recommendations for system improvements.
• Train facility personnel on optimal electrical system operation practices.
• Coordinate with local utilities for service upgrades and improvements.
• Conduct comprehensive arc flash assessments and ensure proper labeling and safety measures.
• Implement solutions to address specific regional electrical challenges, such as managing electrical systems affected by the cold climate of Flagstaff.
• Foster relationships with key local stakeholders, including city officials and regional contractors.
• Ensure compliance with Arizona state regulations and energy-saving initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Possession of a Journeyman License, with a preference for Master Electrician certification.
• Advanced certifications in power quality analysis and building automation systems.
• Extensive hands-on experience with thermal imaging and diagnostic tools.
• Proven expertise in managing and maintaining critical power systems.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and improve customer relationships.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills applicable to a variety of systems and manufacturers.
• Experience conducting arc flash studies and developing comprehensive safety programs.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a commercial setting, specifically in a Journeyman role.
• Familiarity with Flagstaff’s unique environmental conditions and their impact on electrical systems.
• Knowledge of regional construction practices and electrical standards relevant to Northern Arizona.
