Essential Functions
- Project Management: Lead and manage fire alarm projects from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with project specifications, timelines, and budgets.
- Team Coordination: Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, technicians, and subcontractors to deliver seamless project execution.
- Client Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with clients, addressing their needs and concerns throughout the project lifecycle.
- Compliance: Ensure all projects adhere to NFPA 70 and NFPA 1042 standards, along with local codes and regulations.
- Technical Proficiency: Utilize fire alarm software, testing equipment, and installation tools to assess project requirements and performance.
- Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous quality control processes to ensure the reliability and safety of installed systems.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve project-related challenges promptly, leveraging your expertise and resources.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate project records and documentation, including reports, schedules, and contractor agreements.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 3-5 years of electrical experience, with a focus on fire alarm systems.
- Licensing: A valid electrical license for California.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in fire alarm software and testing equipment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks associated with installation and maintenance activities.
- Safety Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of safety regulations and best practices in fire alarm projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Installation Tools: Experience with fire alarm installation tools.
- Project Experience: Prior experience managing fire alarm projects, particularly in commercial, healthcare, or educational settings.
Location & Schedule
- Primary Location: Long Beach, CA.
- Neighboring Cities: The position may involve occasional travel to nearby cities such as Lakewood, Signal Hill, Carson, and Seal Beach.
- Schedule: This is a full-time position, requiring availability for standard business hours and occasional after-hours work, as needed to meet project deadlines.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: $47.88-$58.13 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
