Key Responsibilities

In this exciting role, you’ll install and certify structured cabling systems, ensuring the seamless performance of our fiber optic networks. You’ll be responsible for performing precise fiber optic terminations and rigorous testing to guarantee adherence to data center standards. Your expertise will shine as you implement data center cable management strategies and coordinate pathway installations while maintaining the utmost clean room protocols. Operate state-of-the-art cable certification equipment and install overhead cable tray systems to support our high-density installations. Document every testing result and warranty with meticulous attention to detail, and perform high-density rack cabling to optimize our data center’s efficiency. In the Omaha area, you’ll also be involved in ensuring compliance with regional data center standards and contributing to the upcoming “Tech Hub Expansion” project, a large-scale initiative set to redefine the technological landscape of the region.

Required Qualifications

To excel in this role, you must hold a BICSI Installer 1 certification and demonstrate experience with structured cabling systems. Your proficiency in fiber optic installation and expertise with cable testing equipment will be crucial. A solid knowledge of data center infrastructure and experience with documentation systems is essential. Understanding TIA standards and possessing proven technical documentation skills will set you apart. You should be able to read and create detailed cable drawings with ease. Additionally, candidates should have 1-3 years of experience in security work within a commercial setting. Being familiar with Omaha’s local building codes and regulations, as well as having experience with Nebraska’s unique environmental conditions, will be advantageous.
