Job Description:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable commercial Voice & Data Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing voice and data systems in commercial buildings, specifically new construction office buildings and hospitals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation of voice and data systems in new construction sites, including but not limited to office buildings and hospitals.
• Testing and troubleshooting installed systems to ensure functionality, reliability, and compliance with specifications and standards.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to ensure correct installation processes.
• Providing detailed documentation on all installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment and adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
• Collaborating with construction teams, electricians, and other professionals to ensure successful project completion.
• Providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.

Required Qualifications and Certifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in voice and data installation, preferably in a commercial setting.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Proficient knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• BICSI Installer certification is preferred.
• Strong understanding of voice and data systems including VoIP, PBX, and SIP.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

Service Area:

Our service area includes Omaha and surrounding cities. The successful applicant will be expected to travel within this area.

Specific Tools and Equipment Knowledge:

• Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
• Familiarity with testing and diagnostic equipment such as multimeters and network analyzers.
• Ability to work with conduit benders, fish tapes, wire pulling tools, and other specialized equipment.

Safety Requirements and Protocols:

• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to electrical and voice/data installations.
• Ensure all installations meet the standards set by the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Ability to wear and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
