Cable Tech Team Lead at Telco Data
Position Overview
Telco Data is seeking an experienced Cable Tech Team Lead to manage, guide, and support our regional cable technicians in Bethesda, MD. Our ideal candidate has a blend of technical and leadership skills, and a strong commitment to providing excellent service to our clients, who include Fortune 500 companies, tech startups, and financial institutions. This role requires regular travel to nearby major cities and a flexible schedule, specifically for our second shift (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of cable technicians, distributing tasks and providing technical guidance
- Oversee cable installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks
- Ensure compliance with safety and network standards and regulations
- Coordinate with project teams for timely and efficient project execution
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and maintenance
- Develop strategies to improve service and team performance
Required Qualifications
- 5-8 years experience in network infrastructure services
- Valid Cisco CCNA and Network+ certifications
- Proven experience with network analysis, Fluke Networks, OTDR Testing, and Cable Certification
- Experience with corporate clients (Fortune 500 companies, tech startups, and financial institutions)
- Ability to work in a team and lead multiple projects
- Willingness to travel regularly to nearby major cities
Preferred Qualifications
- BICSI Technician or RCDD certification
- Proficiency in project management and customer service
- Prior experience in a leadership role
