Qualifications for Fiber Optics Technician

• 3-5 years of experience as a Fiber Optics Technician.
• Expertise in fiber optic installations, splicing, and OTDR testing.
• Strong understanding of industry standards (e.g., TIA/EIA), with meticulous attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities for Fiber Optics Technician

• Install and terminate fiber optic cables in commercial and industrial settings.
• Perform fusion splicing on single-mode and multi-mode fibers.
• Route and secure cables within conduits, trays, and overhead systems.
• Conduct OTDR testing and troubleshooting for signal integrity.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades for network integration.
• Maintain detailed documentation for splicing, testing, and installation activities.
