Position Overview

Telco Data in Bethesda, MD is seeking an experienced Cable Tech Team Lead to oversee our skilled team of telecom professionals. The successful candidate will be required to translate project requirements into executable plans, manage the team and ensure that all projects are delivered to the highest standard. As a Team Lead, your working environment will be primarily in educational settings, spanning across universities, K-12 schools, and training centers within a 100-mile radius of Bethesda.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the cable tech team, ensuring all projects are executed in a timely manner.
• Oversee the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of communication cables.
• Conduct OTDR testing and network analysis as required.
• Work closely with project management to ensure projects meet set deadlines.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally and swiftly.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in the telecom industry.
• RCDD and BICSI Technician certifications.
• Familiarity with tools and technology such as OTDR Testing, Network Analysis, Fluke Networks, and Cable Certification.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Willingness to travel up to a 100-mile radius.

Preferred Qualifications

• Cisco CCNA certification.
• Experience in an educational environment.
• Strong understanding of the Bethesda market and its requirements.
