Position Overview at T&D Communications
As a Low Voltage Cable Technician, you will play a key role in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low voltage cabling systems within office buildings in Boulder, CO, and surrounding areas. You will ensure high-quality standards and deliver exceptional service to support the communication needs of our clients.
Essential Functions for Low Voltage Cable Technician
- Install, terminate, and test low voltage cabling systems including Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cables.
- Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal system performance.
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Document all installations, maintenance, and repairs accurately.
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards during all phases of installation and maintenance.
Required Qualifications for Low Voltage Cable Technician at T&D Communications
- 2-4 years of experience in low voltage cabling installation and maintenance.
- Required certification: Network+ Certification.
- Proficient in using cable testers and fiber optic tools.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certification: BICSI Technician.
- Experience with advanced cable testing equipment.
- Specialized experience in office building environments.
- Proficiency with a variety of hand and power tools.
Location & Schedule
- Primary location: Boulder, CO
- Additional locations: Longmont, Louisville, Lafayette, and Superior.
- Schedule: Full-time
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $27.72-$33.87 per hour.
