Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement fiber optic networks
- Conduct fusion splicing operations
- Test and certify fiber installations
- Maintain splice documentation
- Install fiber distribution systems
- Configure DWDM systems
- Perform OTDR testing
- Implement fiber management systems
- Coordinate pathway installations
- Maintain a clean work environment
- Perform emergency restoration
- Train junior technicians
- Support projects like the Gateway Arch fiber upgrade
- Meet Missouri state safety standards
- Adapt to local climate and terrain challenges
Required Qualifications
- FOA certification required
- Extensive experience with fusion splicing
- Proven expertise in OTDR testing
- Demonstrated ability with fiber management systems
- Advanced knowledge of fiber types
- Certification in multiple splice platforms
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Experience with documentation systems
- Proven emergency response experience
- 2-5 years of experience in a commercial setting
- Familiarity with St. Louis municipal regulations
- Ability to work in diverse urban environments
Compensation & Benefits
