Controls Engineer at Staley Technologies
Staley Technologies is seeking a seasoned Safety Controls Engineer to join our team in Louisville, KY. This critical role involves expertise in machine safety systems, safety PLCs (Allen-Bradley GuardLogix, Siemens F-CPU), and risk assessment. The ideal candidate will have a TÜV Functional Safety Engineer certification, OSHA-30, and Certified Machinery Safety Expert (CMSE) credentials. Familiarity with ISO 13849/IEC 62061 standards, safety system design, and safety network protocols (CIP Safety, PROFIsafe) is necessary. Proficiency in Sistema calculations, safety circuit design, and robot safety systems is also required. This position requires 40-70% travel for safety system validation and compliance assessments.
Location
This position is based in Louisville, KY, a vibrant city surrounded by the neighboring cities of Jeffersonville, New Albany, Shively, and St. Matthews.
Required Experience
- 10+ years of experience as a Controls Engineer
- Knowledge of machine safety systems and safety PLCs (Allen-Bradley GuardLogix, Siemens F-CPU)
- Proficiency in risk assessment
- TÜV Functional Safety Engineer certification
- OSHA-30 certification
- Certified Machinery Safety Expert (CMSE) credentials
- Experience with ISO 13849/IEC 62061 standards
- Familiarity with safety system design
- Working knowledge of safety network protocols (CIP Safety, PROFIsafe)
- Proficiency in Sistema calculations and safety circuit design
- Experience with robot safety systems
Nice to Have

Pay/Benefits
Staley Technologies offers a competitive salary ranging from $60.36 to $70.58 per hour, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
