Role Overview:

The Commercial Electrician will be an integral part of the Commercial division at Expert Wire, responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial buildings. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently and as part of a team to ensure timely completion of projects. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems and a commitment to maintaining safety standards.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems in commercial buildings, including office spaces, retail centers, hospitals, and schools.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs or adjustments.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure systems are operating efficiently and safely.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other electricians to ensure project timelines and specifications are met.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to minimize risk and ensure the safety of all personnel on-site.

Required Certifications:

• First Aid/CPR certification.
• Master Electrician certification (preferred).

Experience:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of electrical experience, preferably in a commercial setting.
• Experience with lift certification and thermal imaging cameras.
• Valid electrical license for the state of Kentucky.
• Familiarity with using thermal imaging cameras for diagnosing electrical issues.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials.
• Capable of working in various environments, including confined spaces and heights.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.

Safety Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations in the electrical industry.
• Ability to identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with First Aid/CPR.
• Extensive commercial project experience, particularly in environments such as hospitals and schools.
