Job Description

Salt n Light Electric is seeking a skilled and experienced Service Electrician (Journeyman) to join our team in Irvine, CA. As a Service Electrician specializing in residential work, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, installing, and maintaining electrical systems in homes while providing exceptional customer service. Our ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional with a strong technical background and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, outlets, and panels.
• Install new electrical systems in residential settings, including upgrades and remodels.
• Perform electrical inspections and provide recommendations for system improvements.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently and effectively to minimize downtime for homeowners.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to execute projects accurately.
• Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations.
• Communicate clearly with customers to explain technical information and provide solutions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper cleanup after job completion.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.

Requirements

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Completion of an accredited electrician apprenticeship program or equivalent.
• Active Journeyman Electrician license in California (required).
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in residential electrical work.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical systems, including panels, switches, outlets, and circuits.
• Experience with installing and maintaining GFCI and AFCI devices.
• Knowledge of smart home systems and advanced electrical technologies (preferred).
• Familiarity with energy-efficient electrical solutions, such as LED lighting and solar systems.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment effectively.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
