Key Responsibilities

As a Commercial Electrical Apprentice, your role will involve assisting in electrical installations and upgrades, learning various wiring methods, and adhering to safety protocols. You will support the team with material handling and logistics, practice blueprint reading, help with conduit, panel, and device installations, and perform routine equipment checks under strict supervision. Other duties include maintaining a clean and safe worksite, documenting daily tasks and lessons learned, and attending required training and apprenticeship classes.

You will be expected to:

• Collaborate with team members and supervisors
• Develop skills in troubleshooting and problem resolution
• Participate in team meetings and safety briefings
• Provide support for system testing and commissioning
• Assist in estimating costs for commercial electrical projects
• Contribute to project planning and scheduling
• Adhere to the local and state electrical regulations in South Carolina
• Participate in upcoming commercial apprentice projects in Mount Pleasant and neighboring cities

Required Qualifications

To qualify for this role, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Enrollment in an apprenticeship program is preferred. A basic understanding of electrical concepts is required along with a willingness to learn and follow instructions. Good communication and teamwork skills are essential. You must have the physical ability to handle tools and materials, pay attention to detail, and have safety awareness. Reliable transportation and punctuality are also required.

Specifically, we are looking for candidates with:

• 0-3 years of experience in the electrical field
• Knowledge of commercial electrical systems
• Familiarity with electrical testing equipment
