Overview of the Commercial Apprentice Electrician Role

As a Commercial Apprentice Electrician at H & A Electric, you will work under the guidance of experienced electricians to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial environments. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience and training, allowing you to develop your skills and knowledge in the field of commercial electrical work. Requirements for Commercial Apprentice Electrician

Key Responsibilities

• Assist journeymen and master electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial settings.
• Perform basic electrical tasks such as wiring, conduit installation, and equipment installation under supervision.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored.
• Adhere to company safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to high-quality standards.
• Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your electrical skills and knowledge.

Required Certifications

• State Trainee Card
• OSHA 10 Certification

Experience and Skills

• 1-2 years of electrical experience in a commercial setting.
• Valid electrical license for South Carolina.
• Proficiency in Basic First Aid/CPR and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
• Physical ability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working in various environments.
• Strong safety knowledge and the ability to identify potential hazards on the job site.

Preferred Experience

• Experience using power tools from brands such as Milwaukee and DeWalt.
• Prior experience working on commercial projects such as office buildings, retail centers, hospitals, and schools.

Location & Schedule

The primary location for this position is Mount Pleasant, SC. Our offices are conveniently situated to serve the surrounding areas, including neighboring cities like Charleston, North Charleston, Isle of Palms, Sullivan’s Island, and Goose Creek. As a full-time position, the successful candidate will work a standard schedule, with opportunities for overtime based on project needs.

Compensation & Benefits
