Industrial Electrician at Reliable Electric
Reliable Electric is seeking an Industrial Electrician for our Hartford, CT location, servicing the Greater Hartford area including West Hartford, Newington, and East Hartford. This role focuses on automation and process control within industrial manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate will be skilled in PLC programming, SCADA systems, and predictive maintenance, contributing to the efficiency and reliability of our client’s operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Program and troubleshoot Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs
- Commission automated production lines
- Perform root cause analysis on system failures
- Implement predictive maintenance programs using vibration analysis and thermal imaging
- Design and install complex motor control circuits
- Manage electrical spare parts inventory
- Train apprentices on industrial systems
- Coordinate with equipment manufacturers for complex repairs
- Develop standard operating procedures for maintenance tasks
- Perform power quality analysis and harmonic mitigation
- Ensure compliance with Connecticut’s electrical codes and standards
- Support energy efficiency initiatives in Hartford area facilities
- Collaborate with local vendors for parts and equipment
Required Qualifications
- Advanced certification in Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC programming
- Demonstrated experience with industrial networking protocols (EtherNet/IP, Profibus)
- Expertise in VFD programming and troubleshooting
- Proficiency with thermal imaging and vibration analysis equipment
- Ability to read and create AutoCAD electrical drawings
- Experience with SCADA systems and HMI programming
- Proven leadership skills in maintenance environment
- Understanding of IEEE standards for industrial power quality
- 5+ years of experience required for Journeyman work in industrial setting
- Familiarity with Connecticut’s industrial electrical regulations
- Experience working with Hartford’s manufacturing sector
