Requirements for Office Apprentice Electrician

Key Responsibilities for Commercial Projects

• Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial settings.
• Support experienced electricians in the layout and execution of electrical installations.
• Perform routine maintenance on electrical equipment to ensure optimal operation.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Follow safety protocols and comply with all local and federal electrical codes.

Required Certifications

• State Trainee Card
• Lift Certification

Experience and Tools

• 1-2 years of electrical experience in a commercial setting.
• Valid electrical license for the state of Tennessee.
• Proficiency with hand tools, including Klein and Knipex.
• Experience using digital multimeters, particularly Fluke models.
• Familiarity with power tools, especially Milwaukee and DeWalt, is preferred.
• Experience working on typical projects such as office buildings, retail centers, hospitals, and schools.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials.
• Comfortable working in various environments, including confined spaces and heights.
• Capable of standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.

Safety Knowledge

• Strong understanding of electrical safety protocols and procedures.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment for yourself and your colleagues.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience with power tools such as Milwaukee and DeWalt.
• Experience in commercial project environments is highly desirable.
