Job Title: Voice & Data Technician

Prime Partners is seeking a skilled Voice & Data Technician for commercial work, focusing primarily on new construction and big box retail within Moreno Valley, CA, and its surrounding cities. The ideal candidate will possess an in-depth understanding of voice and data systems along with a strong ability to install and maintain these systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Installing, maintaining, and repairing various voice and data systems such as structured cabling systems, fiber optic cables, and network switches.
2. Reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics for new construction projects.
3. Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to voice and data systems.
4. Coordinating with construction teams to ensure the proper installation of voice and data systems.
5. Conducting regular inspections and maintenance checks to prevent system malfunctions.
6. Ensuring compliance with local and national electrical codes.
7. Training junior technicians and providing them with guidance as needed.
8. Working with project managers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. High School diploma or equivalent required.
2. Vocational training, apprenticeship, or Associate degree in related field preferred.
3. Minimum 3 years of experience as a Voice & Data Technician, preferably in the electrical industry.
4. Extensive knowledge of voice and data systems, including installation and maintenance procedures.
5. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics.
6. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to solve complex technical problems.
7. Knowledge of local and national electrical codes.
8. Excellent communication and team-working skills.
9. Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
10. Ability to work in various weather conditions and lift heavy equipment.
