As a thriving business, we are looking for a qualified and experienced Voice & Data Technician to join our dynamic team in Modesto, California. The role requires a detail-oriented and skilled professional who will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing voice, data, and electronic communications systems.

Responsibilities:

1. Installation of voice and data systems in new construction and big box retail environments.
2. Maintenance and repair of existing voice and data systems, ensuring optimal operation.
3. Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to voice, data, and electronic communications systems.
4. Reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and other technical documents.
5. Performing system upgrades and enhancements as required.
6. Adhering to all safety procedures and regulations at all times.
7. Providing guidance and support to junior technicians.
8. Working closely and effectively with other team members and departments.
9. Ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving skills.
10. Managing inventory of equipment and tools.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent is required.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in the electrical industry, specifically focusing on voice and data systems.
3. Familiarity with commercial construction and big box retail environments.
4. Proficient in reading and interpreting technical documents and blueprints.
5. Strong understanding of electronics and data communications.
6. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
7. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
8. Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in physically demanding conditions.
9. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
10. Valid state driver’s license.

Requirements:

1. Relevant certification in voice and data systems is a plus.
2. Availability to work flexible hours and travel to surrounding cities like Ceres, Salida, Riverbank, and Manteca.
