As an Electrical Trainee at Prime Partners, you’ll be an essential part of our team on a multi-year project in Modesto, CA, with additional projects in nearby cities like Turlock, Ceres, and Ripon. Your role is hands-on and dynamic, providing you with the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the electrical trade while working alongside seasoned professionals. You’ll be involved in the day-to-day operations that keep our projects running smoothly and efficiently.
Daily Responsibilities of an Electrical Trainee
Support Electricians in Essential Tasks
Your primary responsibility will be to assist electricians in all facets of commercial electrical work. This includes pulling wire, running conduit, and assembling electrical panels. You’ll work closely with our licensed electricians to ensure that installations meet our high standards of quality and safety.
Set Up and Organize Workstations
You’ll be responsible for setting up workstations and organizing tools and materials. This ensures that each job site is prepared for efficient installation work. Your organizational skills will be crucial in maintaining a productive work environment.
Learn to Read Blueprints and Follow Instructions
Part of your development will include learning how to read blueprints and follow detailed instructions to complete basic electrical tasks. This skill is vital for understanding project specifications and executing tasks accurately.
Participate in Safety Meetings
You’ll regularly participate in safety meetings and will be expected to apply best practices to maintain a secure work environment. Safety is our top priority, and your role is crucial in upholding our safety standards.
Additional Daily Activities
- Assist in troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems as needed.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems and report any issues to the supervising electrician.

Qualifications for the Electrical Trainee Position
Required Credentials and Experience
To be eligible for this position, you must have a valid Electrical Trainee Card from the CA Department of Industrial Relations. While 0-1 years of experience as an Electrical Trainee is preferred, eagerness to learn and develop skills in electrical work is essential.
