Job Title: Voice & Data Technician Location: Gilbert, AZ Company: Prime Partners

Job Description: Prime Partners, a leading electrical service provider serving Gilbert and its surrounding cities including Chandler, Mesa, and Queen Creek, is seeking a skilled Voice & Data Technician. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the electrical industry, specifically in commercial work, new construction, and big box retail.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Installation, termination, and testing of all data and voice cable (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber, etc.)
2. Perform rack and stack work, closet work, putting together server racks, patch panels
3. Install, maintain, and repair voice, data, and wireless communications systems
4. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics
5. Maintain industry knowledge and awareness of new trends and technologies
6. Perform troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common system problems
7. Adhere to all safety rules and regulations
8. Collaborate with the team to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
9. Provide high-quality service to customers by ensuring prompt and professional communication

Qualifications:

1. High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in a related technical field is preferred
2. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in voice and data installation within the commercial electrical industry
3. Experience in new construction and big box retail preferred
4. Proficient in the use of hand and power tools used in the electrical trade
5. Knowledge of industry standards for both installation and safety
6. Excellent troubleshooting skills and understanding of network layout and IP addressing
7. Certified Network Cable Installer (CNCI) or equivalent certification will be considered a plus
8. Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Requirements:

1. Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work at heights
2. Ability to work in different weather conditions
3. Willingness to work overtime and on weekends as needed
4. Ability to travel to different sites in Gilbert, Chandler, Mesa, and Queen Creek
5. Must pass a background check and drug screening
