Job Description: Prime Partners is seeking a highly skilled, adaptable, and reliable Voice & Data Technician to join our team in Fontana, CA. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing voice, data, and electronic communications systems. This position will primarily focus on commercial work, specifically within new construction and big box retail settings.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain, and repair voice, data, and wireless communications systems.
2. Inspect and service telecommunication devices in frequent use, such as switches, routers, and fiber optic lines.
3. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with voice and data networks.
4. Carry out regular upgrades to ensure systems remain updated.
5. Run cables, key cables, or install LANs.
6. Test circuits and components of malfunctioning telecommunications equipment to isolate sources of malfunctions.
7. Train customers in the use of telecommunications equipment.
8. Adhere to all relevant safety standards and procedures.
9. Coordinate with the team and other professionals to ensure the quality of our services.
10. Provide high-level service to our customers, including answering questions and addressing system issues.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field is preferred.
2. Minimum 3 years of experience as a Voice & Data Technician.
3. Extensive knowledge of voice, data, and networking systems.
4. Familiarity with commercial work, especially new construction and big box retail.
5. Experience in running, pulling, terminating, and splicing cables.
6. Experience in installing telecom equipment, routers, switches, multiplexors, cable trays.
7. Ability to use hand and power tools.
8. Strong knowledge of electrical safety procedures.
9. Must have a valid driver’s license.
10. Must be willing to work overtime and on weekends, as necessary.
11. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
12. Strong problem-solving skills and attention-to-detail.
