Your Daily Tasks as a Fire Sprinkler Designer

In your day-to-day activities, you’ll be responsible for developing comprehensive designs for fire sprinkler systems, ensuring they align with local, state, and national fire safety codes. Here’s a closer look at your typical tasks:

• Design Development: Utilize industry-standard software like AutoCAD and HydraCAD to create detailed system layouts, perform hydraulic calculations, and generate material lists tailored to each project.

• Plan Review and Coordination: Analyze architectural and engineering plans to ensure the fire sprinkler system integrates well with other building systems. This requires close collaboration with architects and engineers to address any design conflicts.
