Job Description:

Prime Partners, a leading electrical contracting company in Fontana, CA, is seeking a licensed Journeyman Electrician. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial and residential settings. This role requires strong knowledge of electrical systems, adherence to all safety procedures, and the ability to troubleshoot issues and ensure systems are up to code.

Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
2. Perform general electrical maintenance tasks.
3. Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.
4. Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
5. Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.
6. Follow National Electrical Code state and local building regulations.
7. Read blueprints or technical diagrams.
8. Install electrical apparatus, fixtures, and equipment for alarm and other systems.
9. Install safety and distribution components.
10. Conduct preventive maintenance programs.
11. Keep abreast of all new regulations and practices pertinent to electrical works.
12. Collaborate with team and participate in meetings to improve company procedures and project efficiency.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Valid state Journeyman Electrician’s license.
3. Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician.
4. Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems.
5. Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g., wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints.
6. Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines.
7. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
8. Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight.
9. Diploma in relevant vocational training or successfully completed apprenticeship as an electrician.

Requirements:

1. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
2. Must pass a drug test, background check, and have a clean driving record.
3. Must be willing to work overtime, nights, and weekends when necessary.
4. Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
5. Must be able to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and work in various weather conditions.
