Your work will involve the installation, programming, and maintenance of fire alarm systems, making sure they operate seamlessly in compliance with all safety codes.

Your Daily Tasks as a Fire Alarm Technician

Installation and Programming

Your primary responsibility will be to install and program fire alarm control panels, smoke detectors, strobes, and other system components. This work will primarily focus on commercial new construction projects, where precision and reliability are key.

System Testing and Troubleshooting

You’ll perform thorough system testing and verification to ensure all installations meet local and national fire safety standards. Troubleshooting will be a regular part of your day, requiring you to diagnose and resolve any technical issues that arise swiftly.

Collaboration with Other Trades

What You Need to Be a Fire Alarm Technician

Experience and Skills
