Journeyman Electrician at Prime Partners

Job Title: Journeyman Electrician Company: Prime Partners Location: Oro Valley, AZ (including surrounding cities such as Marana, Catalina Foothills, and Tucson)

Job Description: Prime Partners is currently seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our expert team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in performing a variety of electrical tasks in residential and commercial settings. This includes installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, ensuring that all work is in line with state and local electrical codes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems while observing all statutory and legal requirements.
2. Read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints.
3. Conduct tests and inspections of electrical systems and equipment.
4. Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
5. Manage wiring and lighting installations in commercial and residential buildings.
6. Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units.
7. Conduct routine maintenance and predict future issues.
8. Collaborate with architects and engineers to determine the best placement of electrical wiring.
9. Train and mentor apprentice electricians.
10. Ensure all operations and maintenance activities are performed in a safe manner consistent with policies and procedures established for the work process.

Qualifications:

1. Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician.
2. Diploma in relevant vocational training or a successfully completed apprenticeship as an electrician.
3. Valid license to practice the profession.
4. Deep knowledge of electrical theory, NEC codes and local regulations.
5. Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints.
6. Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines.
7. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
8. Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight.

Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Valid state Journeyman Electrician License.
3. Ability to lift, push, pull, and move up to 50 lbs.
4. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
5. Ability to work independently or in a team.
6. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
