Job Description:

Prime Partners is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Installer to join our team. The successful candidate will primarily install fire alarm systems in new commercial properties such as office buildings, hospitals, big box retail stores, and other commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, program, and test new fire alarm systems in accordance to NFPA codes, manufacturer’s specifications, and local building codes.
2. Perform inspections and preventative maintenance on existing fire alarm systems, including troubleshooting and repairing defective equipment.
3. Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics, and operational product manuals to ensure proper installation.
4. Coordinate with general contractors, electrical contractors, and other trades to ensure proper installation and functionality of fire alarm systems.
5. Provide technical training and support to customers and other team members as needed.
6. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.

Required Qualifications & Certifications:

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in installing fire alarm systems or related field.
2. High school diploma or equivalent. An associate degree in a related field is preferred.
3. Valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record.
4. NICET Level II Certification in Fire Alarm Systems or related field.
5. Strong knowledge of NFPA codes, local and state building codes.
6. Excellent communication, customer service and problem-solving skills.

Required Knowledge of Tools & Equipment:

1. Knowledge of fire alarm control panels, devices, and critical components.
2. Familiarity with the use of various tools and equipment such as drills, multimeters, wire strippers, and conduit benders.
3. Proficient in using a variety of computer software for system configuration and diagnostics.

Safety Requirements:

1. Adherence to all safety protocols and procedures.
2. Ability to safely use various tools and equipment.
3. Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
4. Must be comfortable working at heights.

The Fire Alarm Installer will primarily service the Scottsdale, AZ area and surrounding cities. Occasional out-of-town travel may be required.
