Job Overview:

We are searching for an experienced, dependable Security Technician to join our team at Prime Partners. The successful candidate must have a minimum of two years of experience with the installation of security systems in commercial properties such as new construction office buildings, hospitals, big box retail stores, and other commercial properties. The ideal candidate would also have a thorough understanding of building codes and regulations, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

1. Installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of security systems including CCTV, access control, burglar alarm systems, and fire alarms in commercial properties.
2. Reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to ensure accurate installation of security systems.
3. Conducting site surveys to determine the best location for security equipment.
4. Configuring and programming security systems according to customer requirements.
5. Coordinating with other contractors and construction workers to ensure smooth installation.
6. Providing training and support to the clients regarding the use of security systems.
7. Adhering to all safety regulations and ensuring a safe working environment.
8. Regularly communicating with the team and management regarding project status.

Required Qualifications and Certifications:

1. Minimum of 2 years of experience in security system installation in a commercial setting.
2. High school diploma or GED required, Associate’s degree in Electrical Technology or related field preferred.
3. Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
4. Knowledge of local and national building codes related to security system installations.
5. Certified Alarm Technician (CAT) or Electronic Security Networking Technician (ESNT) certification preferred.
6. Experience with a variety of security systems and brands.
7. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Tools and Equipment Knowledge:

1. Proficiency in using various electronic testing equipment, hand tools, power tools, and ladder safety.
2. Familiarity with software associated with security systems, including diagnostic and programming tools.

Safety Requirements:

1. Knowledge of OSHA safety protocols and guidelines.
2. Experience in maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
3. Training in first aid and CPR is a plus.
