Position Overview at MMR Group
As a Low Voltage Cable Technician with MMR Group, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting our healthcare facilities projects in Marietta, GA, and surrounding areas. This position involves installing, maintaining, and repairing low voltage cabling systems to ensure optimal performance and safety. You’ll work closely with other team members to deliver timely and efficient solutions tailored to the unique needs of healthcare environments.
Essential Functions for Low Voltage Cable Technician
- Install, test, and maintain low voltage cabling systems, including fiber optics and network cables.
- Perform routine inspections and troubleshooting to ensure the integrity and functionality of all cabling systems.
- Collaborate with project managers and other technicians to plan and execute installations and repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations specific to healthcare facilities.
Required Qualifications for Low Voltage Cable Technician at MMR Group
- 2-4 years of experience in low voltage cabling or a related field.
- Required certification: Network+ Certification.
- Proficiency in using Fiber Optic Tools and Punch Down Tools.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certification: BICSI Installer 2.
- Advanced experience with Fiber Optic Tools.
- Specialized experience working within healthcare environments.
- Proficiency with a wide range of industry-standard tools and equipment.
Location & Schedule
- Primary location: Marietta, GA.
- Additional locations: Atlanta, Smyrna, Kennesaw, Roswell, Alpharetta.
- Schedule: Full-time, with potential for overtime as project demands dictate.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $28.29-$34.68 per hour, commensurate with experience.
