Job Description:

As an Apprentice Electrician at Rogers Electric, you will work closely with experienced Journeyman and Master Electricians, assisting in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. This hands-on role is ideal for individuals passionate about the electrical trade and eager to gain practical experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Electrical System Assistance:

  • Support senior electricians in installing and maintaining electrical systems, including wiring, conduits, panels, and lighting.
  • Perform tasks such as pulling cables, mounting electrical equipment, and assembling fixtures.

• Blueprint and Schematic Interpretation:

  • Learn to read and interpret blueprints, electrical diagrams, and project specifications.
  • Assist in executing tasks according to design requirements and safety standards.

• Worksite Preparation and Maintenance:

  • Prepare and organize tools, materials, and equipment for daily tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.

• Safety Adherence:

  • Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Participate in safety training sessions and adhere to OSHA and company safety standards.

• Learning and Development:

  • Actively participate in on-the-job training and mentorship programs.
  • Stay informed about the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations.

Qualifications:

• Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Enrollment in or willingness to enroll in a certified electrical apprenticeship program.

• Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong interest in the electrical trade with a desire to grow and advance.
  • Basic understanding of electrical tools and systems (preferred but not required).
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Comfortable working in various environments, including heights, confined spaces, and outdoor settings.

  • Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
