Position Overview at MMR Group

As a Data Center Cable Tech based in El Segundo, CA, you will play a crucial role in supporting the infrastructure of office buildings and other commercial projects in the area. Your main responsibilities will include the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of data cabling systems. You will work closely with a team of professionals to ensure that all cabling systems are installed according to industry standards and client specifications, supporting projects both in El Segundo and neighboring cities.

Essential Functions for Data Center Cable Tech

• Install, terminate, and test copper and fiber optic cables in data centers and office buildings.
• Perform regular maintenance checks and troubleshoot issues in cabling infrastructure.
• Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and tests conducted.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations during all phases of installation and maintenance.
• Assist in the planning and execution of cabling projects, providing input based on field observations.

Required Qualifications for Data Center Cable Tech at MMR Group

• 3-6 years of experience in data cabling installation and maintenance.
• Required certification: Fiber Optic Certification.
• Proficiency with Chatsworth Products and CommScope Infrastructure.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional certification: CDCDP/CDCP.
• Experience working with Corning Fiber Systems.
• Specialized experience in large-scale office building projects.
• Proficiency with cable testing tools and network diagnostic equipment.

Location & Schedule

• Primary location: El Segundo, CA.
• Additional locations: Torrance, Hawthorne, Manhattan Beach, Inglewood, and Redondo Beach.
• Schedule: Full-time, with potential for overtime based on project needs.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $29.07-$34.89 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
