The Cable Tech will ensure that all cable installations meet industry standards and client specifications.

Requirements for Cable Tech

• Key responsibilities for Cable Tech at MMR Group:
  • Install, terminate, and test low voltage cabling systems.
  • Perform site surveys and troubleshoot existing cable systems.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely project completion.
• Low voltage cabling installation for Cable Tech:
  • Install structured cabling systems, including copper and fiber optic.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and codes.
  • Perform quality checks on installed systems.
• Tool proficiency for daily tasks for Cable Tech:
  • Crimping tools, punch down tools, and cable testers.
  • Fiber optic splicing equipment.
  • Drills and other hand tools for cable installation.
• Daily tasks:
  • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of cable systems.
  • Document installation processes and maintenance activities.
  • Assist in training junior technicians.
• Project involvement:
  • Engage in projects from initial planning through execution.
  • Work on both new installations and upgrades of existing systems.

Qualifications for Cable Tech at MMR Group

• 2-4 years of experience in cable installation and maintenance.
• Required certification: OSHA 10.
• Experience with Cable Management Systems, Fiber Optic Tools.
• Physical requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform tasks in various environmental conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional certification: Network+ Certification.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $23.33-$28.03 per hour.
