Job Description:

McEnroe Voice & Data is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Voice & Data Installer to join our team in Cheyenne, WY. The suitable candidate will be responsible for the installation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various voice and data systems in new construction office buildings and hospitals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot voice and data systems for commercial new construction projects, including but not limited to, office buildings and hospitals.
2. Perform network cable installations, terminations, and testing.
3. Install cable trays, conduits, and other cable support systems in accordance with project specifications.
4. Work with project managers and other team members to ensure installations are completed on time and within budget.
5. Understand and adhere to all safety standards and protocols.
6. Conduct regular system inspections and preventative maintenance.
7. Document installation processes and maintain a record of completed tasks.
8. Provide technical assistance and resolve related issues for clients.
9. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

Required Qualifications and Certifications:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Voice & Data Installer or related role.
3. Knowledge of various cable types, including Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cables.
4. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematic diagrams.
5. BICSI certification or equivalent is preferred.
6. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
7. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Service Area:

This role services Cheyenne, WY, and the surrounding cities within a 50-mile radius.

Specific Tools and Equipment Knowledge:

Candidates should have experience with the following equipment:

1. Cable testers and other troubleshooting devices.
2. Hand and power tools for cable installation.
3. Fiber optic splicing and testing equipment.

Safety Requirements and Protocols:

The Voice & Data Installer is expected to comply with all company and OSHA safety guidelines and protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), following lockout/tagout procedures, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
