Retail Cable Tech Role Overview

As a Retail Cable Tech at Jackson Electric, you will be an integral part of our commercial project team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting cable systems in diverse commercial settings. Your expertise will contribute to the seamless operation of advanced cabling systems that support the infrastructure of our clients’ businesses.

Requirements for Retail Cable Tech

• Key Responsibilities for Commercial Projects:

  • Install, terminate, and test copper and fiber cabling systems.
  • Perform maintenance and repair on existing cable infrastructures.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other technicians to ensure project timelines and standards are met.
  • Conduct site assessments to determine cabling needs and solutions.

• Required Certifications:

  • BICSI Installer 2
  • Valid Driver’s License

• Experience with:

  • OSHA 10 and First Aid/CPR
  • Cable Certifiers, notably Fluke DSX models

• Typical Projects:

  • Office Buildings
  • Retail Centers
  • Hospitals
  • Schools

• Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of electrical experience
  • Valid electrical license for Pennsylvania
  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various conditions
  • Strong safety knowledge and adherence to safety protocols

Preferred Experience

• Proficiency with Cable Certifiers such as Fluke DSX
• Previous experience in commercial projects

Location & Schedule

• Primary Location: Philadelphia, PA
• Neighboring Cities: Bensalem, Upper Darby, Haverford, and Chester
• Schedule: Full-time position with flexible hours to accommodate project needs

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Range: $22.91 - $25.63 per hour, depending on experience
