Role Overview
As an Office Apprentice Electrician at IES Electric, you will play a crucial role in supporting our commercial projects. You will work under the guidance of experienced electricians, gaining hands-on experience while contributing to the successful completion of various commercial electrical tasks. Essential Functions
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and components in commercial settings.
- Perform tasks such as conduit bending, wiring, and installation of electrical fixtures and equipment.
- Utilize basic test equipment to ensure electrical systems are functioning properly.
- Collaborate with senior electricians to learn best practices and improve technical skills.
- Ensure compliance with company safety protocols and industry standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist in troubleshooting electrical issues and providing effective solutions.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs.
Key Responsibilities for Commercial Projects:
- Support the electrical team in executing projects in office buildings, retail centers, hospitals, and schools.
- Assist in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Work with various hand tools and electrical equipment to complete assigned tasks.
- Ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards.
Required Certifications:
- First Aid/CPR certification
- California ET Card (Emergency Temporary Card)
Experience with:
- Conduit Bending
- Basic Test Equipment
- Hand Tools
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years of electrical experience in a commercial setting.
- Valid electrical license for GA.
- Proven experience with conduit bending and basic test equipment.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures in an electrical environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with a variety of hand tools used in the electrical trade.
- Previous experience working on commercial projects is highly desirable.
