Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Technician to join our team in Alpharetta, GA. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fire alarm systems within commercial and residential premises, while complying with all safety standards and regulations. Ideally, this individual should be detail-oriented, possess strong problem-solving skills, and have a deep understanding of electrical systems and fire safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, repair, and maintain fire alarm systems in accordance with relevant codes and standards.
2. Perform regular inspections and tests on fire alarm systems to ensure they are operating correctly.
3. Identify and resolve any malfunctions or faults in the fire alarm systems.
4. Interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to ensure accurate installation of fire alarm systems.
5. Provide training and guidance to clients on the operation of fire alarm systems.
6. Document all inspections, maintenance, repair work, and submits them in a timely manner.
7. Respond to emergency calls and take immediate action to resolve issues.
8. Communicate with clients, architects, and engineers to identify project needs and specifications.
9. Maintain a safe and clean work environment and ensures all work is done in compliance with relevant codes and regulations.

Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Completion of a recognized apprenticeship as a Fire Alarm Technician, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
3. 3-5 years of experience in fire alarm system installation, maintenance, and repair.
4. Valid state driver’s license.
5. Current state certification as a Fire Alarm Technician.
6. Strong understanding of electrical systems and fire safety regulations.
7. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and electrical diagrams.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
9. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
10. Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and tools.
2. Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
3. Ability to climb ladders and work in high places.
