Overview of the Residential Journeyman Electrician Role

As a Residential Journeyman Electrician at Helix Electric, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our residential projects are executed with precision and care. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential environments. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of projects, ensuring that they meet both client expectations and safety standards.

Essential Functions

• Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential settings.
  • Interpret and apply blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
  • Utilize advanced test equipment to diagnose electrical issues.
  • Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other trades to ensure project timelines and standards are met.
  • Implement Arc Flash Safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.

• Required Certifications:

  • Arc Flash Safety
  • CA State Journeyman License

• Experience With:

Required Qualifications

• 4-8 years of electrical experience in residential environments.
• Valid electrical license for the state of California.
• Proficiency in using advanced test equipment and interpreting code books.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
• Comprehensive safety knowledge and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• CA State Journeyman License certification.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation.
