Overview of Healthcare Electrician Role

As a Healthcare Electrician at Helix Electric, you will play a critical role in executing electrical installations and maintenance for healthcare-related commercial projects. Your expertise will ensure that our projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with stringent safety standards. You will work in a dynamic environment that values collaboration, attention to detail, and innovative problem-solving.

Essential Functions

• Electrical Installations: Perform electrical installations, modifications, and repairs on commercial healthcare facilities, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.
• Project Execution: Collaborate with project managers and other team members to execute projects efficiently, maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
• Testing and Troubleshooting: Utilize advanced test equipment to perform diagnostics and troubleshoot electrical systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
• Blueprint Reading: Accurately interpret blueprints and technical diagrams to guide installation and repair work.
• Conduit Bending: Perform conduit bending and installation, ensuring proper alignment and secure connections.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including Arc Flash Safety and OSHA 30, to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
• Project Types: Engage in a variety of projects including office buildings, retail centers, hospitals, and schools, adapting to the specific needs of each environment.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 3-5 years of electrical experience, preferably in a commercial environment.
• Licensure: Valid electrical license for the state of Arizona.
• Technical Skills: Proficient with advanced test equipment and blueprint reading.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
• Safety Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of safety regulations and protocols, including Arc Flash Safety and OSHA 30 certifications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Conduit Bending: Demonstrated experience with conduit bending techniques and tools.
• Commercial Experience: Prior experience working on commercial projects, particularly within the healthcare sector, is highly desirable.

• Primary Location: Phoenix, AZ
• Neighboring Cities: Employment opportunities may extend to neighboring cities such as Scottsdale, Tempe, Mesa, Chandler, and Glendale.
• Schedule: This is a full-time position, with potential for overtime based on project demands.
